Shalom COVID-19 Protocols & Policies

Pre-Retreat Protocols/Policy

  • Notify external retreat organisers of current NSW Government COVID restrictions and Guidelines on Safety and Hygiene.
  • Notify all potential participants Shalom follows NSW Health advice and guidance on COVID-19 that recommends people get fully vaccinated and wear a face mask where they cannot physically distance.
  • The 1.5m social distancing rule.
  • Advise any potential attendees not to come if they have any flu like symptoms.
  • Retreat organisers will be required to ensure their attendees are aware of the restrictions and keep to safety & hygiene guidelines .
  • Encourage attendees to have COVID Safe app on their phone.

Retreat Protocols/Policy

  • Shalom follows NSW Health advice and guidance on COVID-19 that recommends people get fully vaccinated and wear a face mask where they cannot physically distance.
  • Hand sanitizer will be at all doors, dining room and in bedrooms.
  • 1.5 m floor markers for dining room.
  • Paper towels in all bathrooms.
  • Seated dining room & Conference room can only have 1 person per 4 sq. meters.
  • Can seat up to 10 people per table if from one group.
  • Food prepared and served with plastic gloves on.
  • Hands must be washed every time anyone enters the kitchen.
  • Only staff in food preparation areas.
  • Tables cleared with plastic gloves on.
  • End of Retreat Spray and wipe: Plastic (light switches, credit cards, food packaging, ATM buttons, etc.)
  • 3-7 days clean Stainless steel (utensils, keys, pots and pans, door handles, etc.):
  • 3-7 days collect laundry with plastic gloves. Vacate retreat areas for 7 days.

Post Retreat Protocols

 

  • End of Retreat Spray and wipe: Plastic (light switches, credit cards, food packaging, ATM buttons, etc.)
  • 3-7 days clean Stainless steel (utensils, keys, pots and pans, door handles, etc.):
  • 3-7 days collect laundry with plastic gloves. Vacate retreat areas for 7 days.
